Shipping and payment

What happens between the moment you choose a work and the moment it hangs on your wall.

In short

Shipping
By courier, anywhere in Romania, in a rigid crate — the canvas travels stretched, never rolled — and insured for the value of the work. Studio collection is free; outside Romania, on request.
Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind. The work goes back in its original packaging, and the money is returned once it is back in one piece.
Certificate
Every work leaves signed on the reverse, with a certificate of authenticity. The work’s own page says whether it is framed.

A painted canvas is never rolled. It leaves stretched on its frame, corners protected, in a rigid crate cut to its size, and travels by courier insured for the value of the work. Within Romania I pack and send within a few days of settling the payment. Outside Romania I ship on request: we work out transport and insurance for your destination together, before you confirm.

Payment is by bank transfer, once we have agreed the work and the delivery by email. The site has no cart and takes no cards — every canvas exists once, so every sale starts with a message and ends with a work signed on the reverse. If you prefer, you come to the studio, see it and take it with you; collection is free.

Packing

The canvas leaves stretched on its frame, never rolled: the corners protected, the surface covered with acid-free paper, then bubble wrap, then the rigid box cut to its size. A framed work travels with its frame, in the same box.

If you prefer, you collect it from the studio, free, by appointment: you see it there and it leaves with you, without the box.

Timing

I pack the work within a day or two of settling payment; the courier usually adds a few working days within Romania. I write you the exact dispatch date before it goes and tell you when it is with the courier.

Insurance

Every parcel is insured for the value of the work, for the whole journey. If it arrives damaged, photograph the packaging and the work before unwrapping any further and write to me the same day. I settle the rest with the courier — you are not left with a damaged canvas.

Outside Romania

I ship outside Romania on request. There is no fixed rate: we work out the freight and the insurance for your destination together, before you confirm. Outside the European Union customs duties may apply; they fall to the buyer, and whatever can be known in advance I tell you from the start.

Payment

Payment is by bank transfer, once we have settled the work and the delivery by email. The site has no online payment and no basket: each canvas exists once, so every sale starts with a message.

The work leaves once payment has arrived. For commissions, the deposit and the balance are agreed in writing before I start.

Questions

How is the work packed?

Stretched on its frame, never rolled. The corners are protected, the painted surface touches nothing, and the whole thing goes into a rigid crate made to its size. The crate opens with a knife and is worth keeping: it is the one the work travels back in, if you change your mind.

How long until it arrives?

I prepare the packing within a day or two of settling the payment; then the courier’s time, usually a few working days within Romania. I write you the exact date and the tracking number before it leaves.

Is it insured?

Yes, for the value of the work, for the whole journey. If it arrives damaged, photograph the crate and the work before unpacking any further and write to me the same day; I sort out the rest with the courier.

Do you ship outside Romania?

Yes, on request. I have no flat rate for abroad: we work out transport and insurance for your destination and I write you the figure before you confirm. Large canvases take longer, and I tell you at the start how much.

Can I collect the work from the studio?

Yes, free of charge. The studio is in Bucharest and can be visited by appointment; write to me and we will fix a day. You see it in natural light, take it with you, and no crate is needed at all.

What if I change my mind?

You have 14 days from delivery. You write to me, the work goes back in its original packaging — which is why the crate is worth keeping — and the money is returned by transfer once it is back in one piece. I ask no questions.
