Who runs this site
I, Maria Iagăru, run this site. For any question about your data, write to me at contact@protocore.io.
Traffic statistics and cookies
I use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to learn how many people visit the site, which pages are read and where visitors come from. I see the statistics only in aggregate and do not use them to identify anyone. Advertising features are switched off, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Without your consent, Google Analytics sets no cookies. The site still sends it cookieless measurement signals without identifiers (the page visited, the time of the visit, the type of browser and device), from which Google estimates the statistics in aggregate.
Visit-level data are kept in Google Analytics for at most 14 months. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Analytics cookies rest on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004). The cookieless signals rest on the legitimate interest in knowing, in aggregate, how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
What stays in your browser
Your device may hold:
- the Google Analytics cookies (names starting with _ga), set only after you press “Accept” in the cookie banner; they expire after at most 2 years
- the choice you made in the cookie banner, kept in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, under the key
maria:analytics-consent) so that I do not ask on every page
The site uses no other cookies: the page’s language comes from its address (/en/ for English), not from a cookie. What is kept in local storage stays on your device, is not sent to me and can be cleared in your browser settings.
How to change your choice
You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page, or here. If you decline, the site deletes the _ga cookies Google Analytics had set. Withdrawing consent does not affect measurement made before.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your data, for its rectification or erasure and for the restriction of its processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. For any of them, write to me at contact@protocore.io. You can also lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.
